The school

Services and activities

SCHOOL HOURS

To support families, the school opens at 7.30 a.m. and closes at 6.30 p.m., also offering pre-school and after-school services.

In particular, the pre-school and after-school reception service is included for all those enrolled in the school tuition, while extra curricular activities in the afternoons cost extra.

ASSISTANCE, SAFETY and SURVEILLANCE

Children and teenagers are followed throughout the day, both during educational, training, musical and psychomotor activities and during play, recreation and meals. During recreational moments, conversation in English will be encouraged.

Families are requested to provide the names of the persons authorized to take the children from the school and, in case of particular situations, to communicate the details of delegates or substitutes.

An electronic register will be introduced in primary and lower secondary schools to allow families to keep up to date with their schedules, tasks and assignments, deadlines and teaching commitments. A text messaging system will also ensure that absences and delays are communicated in real time.

The school is equipped with a local infirmary; among the staff on duty, the presence of a first aid officer properly trained according to the law is guaranteed at all hours of service. Families are required to report any pathology or allergy/intolerance affecting their children, even if only sporadically, as well as to give specific medical indications and provide medication in case of particular situations that may cause emergencies.

All students must comply with the obligation of vaccination.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

A rich offer of extracurricular activities for the afternoons, after the end of the lessons – from 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. – will complete our educational proposal, so that the school can also become the place where children and teenagers can spend non-school time with sports and recreational activities, or with in-depth courses and/or possible support.

The extra-curricular proposal is divided into the following macro-areas:

CREATIVITY AND ART

  • Drama & Improvisation (in English)
  • Classical and funky dance
  • Photography (in English language – middle school students)

FOREIGN LANGUAGES

  • Conversation in French
  • Conversation in Spanish
  • Italian as a second language (for international students)

SPORT

  • Swimming (outdoor swimming pool)

An after-school / assisted study service is also available on Mondays and Fridays afternoons, at the end of school hours (for children in classes 3-4-5 primary from 4pm to 6.30pm and for lower secondary from 2.30pm to 6.30pm).
